Site

Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site protects Nova Scotia's darkest sky, and its Dark-Sky Preserve programming leans into Mi'kmaw astronomical tradition alongside standard stargazing — including a guided "Spirit Road Turtle" night-sky presentation and a dark-sky canoe paddle. The inland lakes and forest keep the site well removed from coastal town lighting.

Drive from Toronto: ≈ 18 hours east via Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia's Highway 103 — most visitors fly into Halifax and drive about 1.5–2 hours.

Best time of year: Summer through early autumn, when the park runs its guided dark-sky programs, including canoe paddles and evening presentations.
