Rainbow Bridge is one of the tallest natural bridges on Earth, tucked into a remote side canyon of Lake Powell and reachable only by boat or a long backcountry hike. That isolation earned it recognition as the world's fourth International Dark Sky Sanctuary — the most protective tier DarkSky International awards.

Drive from Toronto: No road access — reached by boat tour or private boat from Lake Powell (Wahweap or Bullfrog marinas), or via a long permitted hike across Navajo Nation land.

Best time of year: Spring and fall for milder temperatures; an overnight boat stay near the bridge is the only realistic way to see it after dark.
