## Overview
Rainbow Bridge is one of the tallest natural bridges on Earth, tucked into a remote side canyon of Lake Powell and reachable only by boat or a long backcountry hike. That isolation earned it recognition as the world's fourth International Dark Sky Sanctuary — the most protective tier DarkSky International awards.

## What to see
Winter Milky Way and Orion framed beneath the 290-foot sandstone arch, in one of the most pristine, hard-to-reach skies in the lower 48.

## Tips
- Boat access only; day-tour boats do not stay after dark, so an overnight houseboat or camp trip is required to view the night sky here
- A backcountry permit from the Navajo Nation is required for the hiking routes
- No services at the monument — plan fuel, food and water from the marina
